Leonard’s Express based in Farmington, NY is pleased to announce that it has acquired the assets of Diamond State Warehousing and Distribution effective September 6, 2013.
Leonard's Express is a family owned transportation provider located in Farmington, New York with 17 office locations throughout the United States. Leonard’s Express and its affiliate companies Johnson Equipment, Finger Lake Logistics and Integrated Logistics are located on an 18 acre property off of Interstate 90. The firm provides transportation solutions for a wide range of customers that encompass many industries. These include rail, marine container, flatbed, less than truckload (LTL), truckload (TL) and temperature controlled transportation services.
Diamond State Warehousing and Distribution is involved in warehousing, both dry and refrigerated, port services, freight brokerage as well as trucking. The transaction will add about 40 power units to the Leonard’s fleet as well as about a combined 62,000 square feet of warehouse space. Diamond State was started in 2004 by Pat and Rich Bastian who will continue on in a management capacity. This acquisition will increase Leonard’s Express’s revenue to approximately $150 million dollars.
